In the South Salento art is everywhere: the quarries of Lecce stone that gives rise to the churches and monuments of Lecce, (referred to as the Florence of the South), the handcrafted terracotta of Codimari (so - called ancient potters of the place), the papier-mâché statuettes puppets of Lecce, the fine laces, embroideries and paintings in ancient times used for the dowries of promised brides.
Amongst the trulli with their dry stone walls and the magical light that illuminates the beautiful scenery, we want to brighten up your holiday with some hours dedicated to art.

Our creative holiday includes four or six days tuition, self-study time and opportunities to visit the beautiful art monuments all around Salento ( athedrals, Castles, etc..).

A TYPICAL DAY
The day starts with a buffet breakfast in front of the swimming pool, in the warmth of the morning sun. Teaching begins at 9.30 until 11.30 with experienced tutors who throughout the workshops, will inspire the students with their creative flair, so that they can create something unique with their own hands. The course includes the creation of a 30/40 or 40/60 canvas with a choice between a floral subject, still life / composition, or landscape.
For lunch you can take a leisurely stroll into the village or the beach restaurant and choose from the mouth-watering local cuisine or you are welcome to make use of our kitchen and bring lunch back from the local markets or delis.
There will be time for a siesta or enjoy in the 13 km of sandy beaches of Torre San Giovanni or take a dip in the pool, or take a walk around the promenade of the village and watch the sunset. You can have dinner in the delicious restaurants or have an ice cream from the local gelateria, browse the weekly craft market or catch one of the events of the villages nearby.
The course fee is € 180,00 for 3 days course and € 300,00 for 5 days course.
Cost included lessons, materials, canvas and colours.
Accommodation is available in double/queen rooms or family rooms.
